Office 2010 asking to register (again) on View desktop

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to keep Office 2010 from asking the end user in a Windows 7 View session to register the product online? Back when we created the master image we registered the install then copied that template user's profile to the Default User profile (using defprof.exe) and it worked for some time but we just noticed the other day in a View session this was popping up when you fire up word/excel etc.....

Thanks

Hi,

You need to use Key Management Services (KMS) with Office 2010 in a VDI environment. How are you managing this?

Hi Clive,

The good news is we use a KMS server right now, it handles licensing the Windows 7 View desktops. Would you happen to know the process of handing out Office keys through KMS (or point me to the documentation you may have used)?

Thanks!

There a wealth of information you should be able to find regarding this but the principle steps you need to follow regardsing KMS are described here in Step 3.

You don't say it if it''s locally installed or ThinApp'ed, but you get the idea.
