Notify user when machine is available again

Hi,

I wondered if I can somehow notify the VDI user on his local host that his VDI machine is available again after a restart/refresh/recompose process?

Is there any creative way to do that?

AFAIK, this is not possible via Horizon directly, but should be possible via vROps for Horizon.

Another way is the Horizon Event Notifier fling, but I don't think we can choose a specific event for notification (like machine Available).

You can do powershell script for this. It’s easy if your at the same domain or if he has his phone/email in the AD account.

use PowerCli then when machine is back you can either send email, sms or if your on the same domain you can do a pop up on his display.
