I am very new to Horizon's and really do not know a whole lot about it. Our Windows 10 workstations in Horizons have a red X over the sound icon in the task bar. If you hover over it, it says "Not audio output device is installed."
How do I get the audio to work on these workstations?
Thank you
it does not show the Audio Controller drivers as mine. Could you uninstall VMware Tools > Reboot > Uninstall View Agetn > Reboot > Reinstall Tools > reboot >Reinstall View agent >reboot and check the status.
Which protocol you are testing - Blast or PCOIP
Could you reinstall the View agent and test again as it work out of box without doing any modification.
How would I find that out? I apologize. I'm new to Horizons.
When you access the VDI desktop using View Client which Protocol is selected by default:
I log in through the portal. I get the options to install the Horizon client or HTML access.
Using HTML there should not be an issue as it is working in my case. Could you please check the Device manager inside the VDI desktop.
In Device Manager, I had to show hidden devices for the Sound controllers.

When they originally installed the Horizon agent, they did not have the audio option checked. All is good. Thank you.
Great.. Could you mark this post as resolved
