I am trying out View 4 with an eye to moving some of my users over to virtual desktops.
When I try to provision linked clones, they are created correctly from the parent snapshot, but after the tag gets added and the machine is reconfigured, it is immediately deleted. This happens no matter how many I try to provision...
On the View Administrator I get a "Desktop Composer DiskFault: Selected parent VM is not accessible" error...
I can't seem to figure this one out - any ideas?
Tried moving the parent to different stores, etc...with the same result...
I just realized that the parent is a Win7 32 bit machine - maybe this is not supported by the view agent?
I got exact same problem. virtual desktop is XP sp3. no luck.
If you google around it looks like this has happened in the past. The guy rebuilt his ESX box. Seem extreme, but it worked. It's a shot in the dark but I would try t remove it from the cluster, reboot it, add it back to the cluster and see if that helps.
WP
thank you, but thats really "extreme" for us. we can't rebuilt the whole ESX as we do have some production server runs on it.
Maybe your View Composer Domain Administrator Service Account has no Domain Admin rights.
Hello Jerry,
Did you find a solution for this problem? I got the same error today
Thank you
