Newbie question.. audio?

I've built and administer a fairly large VI3 environment. Now that my company is considering VDI, this has led me to my first question: ESX VM's don't virtualize an audio driver. I know RDP can support audio, but where can the audio come from if the Windows XP VM doesn't have a (virtual) sound card?

it only needs a sound card to play sound, so if your device that you connect RDP from has sound you will be OK

Aaah yes. I feel silly for not having noticed that before. By default (I think) Windows Server disables audio mapping over RDP.

Thanks.

Another gotcha, remember that RDP audio is only downstream, not upstream, so no VOIP
