We are in the process of configuring our 2 VNX 5500's at 2 different locations for Vmware View and I wanted to get some recommendations based on our setup. We've searched high and low and can't seem to find an answer. EMC has setup 1 virtual LUN for our Vmware View environment, from one carved out Data pool. This pool has some Flash disk, and some 15k, and some standard 7200rpm. Everything I've read and from practices before says to create multiple LUNS for multiple datastores. With auto tiered storage, and the data pool containing flash/15k is this still recommended? Do we create a seperate LUN for replicas, user profiles, and desktop pools? Thanks a ton.
