Network Traffic Flow - Connection Server

What is the flow over conversations when a client with Horizon client connects to a connection server?
Is it that there is a TCP connection to the connection server, the client is directed to their desktop
and from then on the Horizon client is talking to its desktop with no more packets going to
connection server? Looking at the numbers of connections on my load balancer - UAG VIP compared
to connection server VIP I think that's how it works. But wonder if someone familiar with networking
and Horizon could confirm that.

Hi,

How the traffic flow depends on several factors including NAT and tunnelling on the Connection server and UAG.

In general below is how the traffic flow

Primary Protocol ( XML API on port 443):

Client > UAG > Connection server

After the user is authenticated and when the user click on the VDI agent or desktop it initiate secondary protocol based ( 8443/443/4172)

Client > UAG > VDI machine

NOTE: From external network UAG create a tunnel and not Connection server and hence Connection server is out of picture after authentication.
