So I'm setting up a bunch of WYSE V10LE's using View+Composer.
Currently, we have 100+ Day sites that have a stand-alone PC.
These PC's have two seperate logins, the supervisor, and the support login.
They have 3 folders under their Shared Documents folder.
Management, Residents, Documents.
The two profiles share the Residents and Documents Folders, both logins have full access.
however, the management folder has permissions to only allow the supervisor login access.
I"m having trouble figuring out how I would make this work with View since each login receives a seperate desktop.
Any suggestions would be very helpful, thank you!
Why not just have the supervisor folders on shares storage and map a drive based on those logins?

Thats one of the thoughts i had.
Our end users unfortunately are social workers, this would equate to a change, they don't do well with change.
If I have to go this route, I will.
Could also look into folder redirection or maybe a non persistent pool with the same setup you have now. A little extra management on your end as your maintaining a lot more VM's but little change on their part as they would access the folder in the same manner as before.

Outside of the previous suggestion, you're going to have to look into a profile management tool to do this. This is an area View is lacking.

Thanks Guys, I guess I'll invest time in writing instructions/explanation how the mapped drive works for them ![]()
