Need Help with Inaccessible VMs

Hi Guys,

The previous IT personnel left our company who was responsible for maintaining these machines. I just joined in with these issues left for me.

Currently, we are having issues accessing the machines in the pool list. It's greyed out most all of the machines with this message "Unknown (inaccessible)"

Sad to say one of my Servers is there and I am unable to access it because of this issue.

I'm new to this environment so I can't do much troubleshooting.

Please check the health of the datastore and the ESX host holding the VMs. Are these full clones/linked clones/instant clones?

Are all ESXi hosts are up and running?

Are all datastores accessible by esxi hosts?

Hi,

Thnx for your response, Honestly I have no idea if these are linked or clones. Checking thru web client, this is what I get.

If you have guide me thru on how to check it, I would appreciate it.

Hi Suraj,

Yes, so far I have 3 ESXI that are running. I have other VMs that are also running on the same host.

The error could be host related.

are all your host connected and up and running on your vcenter? if not, can you try to reconnect or try to ping them.

If this is a datastore issue, you should see from VCENTER if you have a Datastore disconnected or inacessible.
