When we vmotion a Windows 10 VM in one of our desktop pools there is a 4 seconds freeze/stall in the vm (which i expect) but also graphical issues like stripes and typical higlights. Is this a bug? After refreshing pages or restarting software the graphical glitches dissappear. But this is not good for the user-experience.
example:
Config:
Multiple
Hardware Dell R740XD vSAN Ready Nodes
Processor Type: Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6136 CPU @ 3.00GHz
Logical Processors: 48
NICs: 5
Hypervisor: VMware ESXi, 6.7.0, 11675023
GPU: NVIDIA Grid Tesla M10
Horizon View 7.5.1
Does i happen if your not using teamviewer or similar software in the VM?
It happens even to a desktop background. Also the icon which you see when you lock your desktop was "scrambled"
What NVIDIA Driver Version is installed in your environment.
vMotion Support came with NVIDIA Software Family 7.0 - which is a Driver Version >V410.
What's New :: NVIDIA Virtual GPU Software Documentation
Maybe you need to upgrade your ESXi vib and Windows Driver to a new Version.
Best regards
We have version 410.68-1OEM.670.0.0.8169922 installed on our esxi hosts.
Which is release 7.0.
