NFS for View environment

Can someone help with following questions please?

- Is there any recommendation on NetApp NFS LUN/ datastore size for VMWare View replica and LInkedClones? I am not sure if there is any suggested number of VMs per LUN or LUN size similar to SAN? How these numbers impact virtual desktops performance with respect to IOPS.

- I believe there is nothing to define like block size, muti pathing etc...

Thanks in advance

Have you checked out the NetApp site?  They typically put out a lot of great documentation that may give you some best practices.   I also vaguely remember a 50K seat VDI deployment whitepaper they put out at some point.

Thank you for reply.

Yes, I did a lot of search on Google but couldn't find any concrete info. I just had a look at 50 K VDI deployment document but it doesn't address my questions. I also had a look at NetApp floating VDI ref architecture document but no luck

I assume this is the one you have read? there is an EMC one also which might also give you some information.

Have you looked at the View Configuration Limits Articles?

Finally I found somethimg at following link ( VCE ref arch). I think I am safe to go with 2 TB NFS LUNs.
