Is it possible to have two connection servers connect to one security server? If yes, how does one go about adding the second connection server to the security server?
This is not supported, workable, or functional solution - jmp13 -
View CS must be in either tunneled mode (for connection to View Security Server) or direct mode.
A View CS cannot be both in tunneled and direct mode.
Please refer to the http://pubs.vmware.com/view-50/topic/com.vmware.ICbase/PDF/view-50-architecture-planning.pdf
Be in mind it is also recommended to use more than 1 View Security Serever when paired with a View Connection Server for redundancy purposes.
I don't know the official stance but my thoughts are that you can only pair a security server with one connection broker. You do the pairing process when installing the security server and that option only allows you to add one connection broker.
Hi,
Pairing single Security server to multiple connection server is not supported.
Pairing multiple Security server to single connection server is supported.
When security server is present and users launch desktops by connecting to them, connection server authenticate and assigns a desktop for users. RDP/PcoIP traffic is not tunnelled through connection server but goes through security server.
That means you need multiple Security server paired with single connection server to handle the load, instead of multiple connection server.
Having more than one such sets of SS-CS is recomended for redundancy, load balancing..

Hi,
Check the following information http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=101079...
Hope this information helps you.
npeter this is great info, thanks for sharing. I didn't realize you could do multiple Security Servers to a single VCS. It makes a ton of sense, but I didn't know.
Thanks!
