Multiple Connection Servers - View

Folks,

Just a quick validation question and then maybe one about operation:

1.) If I want to have two or more VMware View Connection servers, I install them as "replica", correct?  I wouldn't install the second one as "Standard" server?

2.) Are there any other HA/FT ideas for a connection server...in that if VM-1 is connected to conectionSvr-1 and connectionSvr-1 goes down, the VM-1 is disconnected?  But off course, if VM-1 re-logs in, he will log into connectionSvr-2...that's the correct behaviour, true?

3.) No change to this in View 5?

Thanks!

1:  They would be installed as a replica server

2:   If your load balancing is setup correctly in that it will remove connection server 1 from available VIew servers when it goes down then it would happen as you described.

3:  Nothing changed in 5.0

It may be possible to use VMware FT for each connection broker to keep the connections up, but as suggested earlier if LB is configured properly then the user gets disconneced and will be allowed back in on a subsiquent logon attempt.
