Mouse lags heavily on Linux x86 client

Hi.

I have a x86 box with Ubuntu 16.04 installed. The only client working here is 3.5.0 build 2999900. Other clients disconnect immediately when trying to open remote desktop.

The problem with this working client is the mouse. It lags almost always. For example when moving mouse pointer over desktop icons the selection moves from one icon to another with almost a second delay.

But sometimes mouse works just perfect. Remote desktop processes mouse movements with no delay at all. But this cases are very rare. I tried everything to figure out when it works but failed.

This looks like hi DPI mouse problem described here High DPI mouse causes Horizon performance issues (mouse lag exceeding 45 seconds) - Mac and Windows I have a 3600 DPI laser mouse but it lags just the same when switched to 400 DPI. And another simple mouse lags as well.

Can anyone help me to solve this problem? Everything else works great.

Remote desktop Windows 10.

Internet by wire about 120 Mbps

But sometimes mouse works just perfect.

Let me explain it. There are rare sessions when mouse works without delays. Such session may be several hours long. Mouse may work well after reconnection. But suddenly mouse starts lagging after reconnection or during the session.

I have similar env with you, but client works well. Below is my configuration:

physical machine:  Dell Tower

OS: uname -a: Linux Ubuntu 4.15.0-29-generic #31~16.04.1-Ubuntu... i686

client version:3.5.0 build 2999900 (32-bit)

Remote desktop Windows 10/RDSH2016/RDSH2019(blast)

It seems I have 4.4 kernel instead of 4.15

Ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS

4.4.0-195-generic #227-Ubuntu SMP ... i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux

I will try to upgrade if it's possible and see what happens. But only after I backup the system)

Well, I made it)

Updated linux kernel from 4.2 to 4.15

Changed connection protocol from VMWare Blast to PCoIP

Now 8.0.0 client works just fine.
