Mouse does not work properly

Hello,

I have Horizon Client Android 3.1.0-2092359 on Philips S221C3 with Android 4.1.1.

I have to connect to a virtual machine Windows 7 Enterprise on a Vsphere Client 5.0.0-755629.

Version of Vmware View Administrator is 5.1.0 build-704644.

The problem is:

The mouse remains with the double pointer.

The right mouse button works.

With the click of the left mouse button you move the pointer .

Double-clicking does not work.

I attach the vmx file of the virtual machine to which we connect.

What do you advise me to do to fix it?

Best regards

Hi Utility,

We have no Philips S221C3, but we used HP slate book21 to do test, and couldn't reproduce the issue.

Could you try some scenarios?

Case 1. Is it OK on other android devices with mouse against your current env?

Case 2. Is it OK to connect the virtual machine Windows 7 Enterprise on a Vsphere Client 5.0.0-755629 via mstsc instead of vsphere client with mouse?

Thanks,
Sue

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

We tried the scenarios recommended by you.

Case 1 : Unfortunately we do not have other Android devices with a USB port for mouse for testing.

Case 2: We tried mstsc from a pc windows 7 and the mouse works correctly.

There are other tests that can be done?

Thanks,

Hi Utility,

Let me list your steps for your issue:

1. Connect one desktop using android view client

2. On the desktop, open the Vsphere Client

3. Connect a virtual machine Windows 7 Enterprise with the Vsphere Client

4. Do single click and move mouse and do double click

Are they right? If right, could you try those steps:

1. Connect one desktop using android view client

2. On the desktop , open mstsc app

3. Connect the virtual machine Windows 7 Enterprise with mstsc

4. Do single click and move mouse and do double click

Thanks,
Sue

Hi Sue,

I ran the tests, in both cases, the mouse does not work properly.

Let me clarify my problem:

Connecting from android, using view client for Android to a desktop Windows 7 Enterprise, the mouse does not work properly.

By connecting to the same Windows 7 Enterprise Desktop from a Windows PC using View Client for windows instead of the mouse works.

Thanks

Hi Utility,

Thanks for doing those tests.

From the results, it might relate with android specific device and mouse.

You may try another model mouse. Currently, apple blue-tooth mouse, dell blue-tooth mouse and HP blue-tooth mouse are OK.

Additional, you can check setting related with mouse on Philips S221C3 Android OS.

If not OK yet, could you provide view client log when you reproduce the issue? At the same time, pls provide mouse info including model etc?

Steps for how to get view client log:

1. Launch to view client and navigate to General settings of view client

2. Check "Enable log"

3. Reproduce that issue

4. Navigate to General settings of view client again

5. Click "Send the log"

Thanks,
Sue

Hi Sue,

The model of the Philips Android S221C3 that we are using does not have bluetooth connection . We can only use mouse with USB cable .

The mouse has no problems running click, double click , and position on the android device , but only through vmware view client .

I attach the log I produced following the procedure.

Thanks

Hi utility,

I want to confirm whether single mouse click works in VMware view client.

If single click fails, then there is no doubt double click would fail.

And in order to get enough information for debugging, could you please do the following steps?

1.Try earlier version of VMware view client(like 2.3.0 or 3.0.0) to find out whether it works? If you don't have the old build, I can give you one copy.

2.Try to double click using your finger on the touch screen of your hardware. Does it work?

3.Just a test, try your best to double click without any mouse movement to see whether it works.

Thanks.

Hi agong ,

thanks for the reply .

I confirm that , with the version currently installed of VMware horizon client, the double click with the finger without using the mouse works properly .

While with the mouse pointer does not follow the movement of the mouse to aim , but you need to perform a click , then not always the double click or right click function .

Could you provide me with the version of VMware Horizon Client I advice you to install on Android ?

Thanks Best Regards

Hi Agong ,

We Tested . Unfortunately negative .

Here are the results :

Version 2.2.0 :

double- click does not work ;

Right click acts as a button "Disconnect " to disconnect the session View.

Version 2.3.0 :

double- click does not work ;

Right acts as a button "Disconnect " to disconnect the session View.

Version 2.3.3 :

double- click does not work ;

Right acts as a button "Disconnect " to disconnect the session View.

Version 3.0.0 :

behaves as version 3.1.0 , the double click does not work , the pointer does not track the actual movement of the mouse .

Thanks utility for your feedback.

Could you please attach a video to demonstrate this issue(with latest VMware view client 3.1.0)?

Hi Agong,

here's the video.

Unfortunately, the screen is glossy so the video quality is not the best.

I hope you can see the problem.

Thanks

Best Regards.

Thanks for your support and sorry for my late reply.

Through the video you attached, I found both single click and right click work normally.

And you wrote "but you need to perform a click , then not always the double click or right click function",

is that mean double click and right click can work sometimes, but not always?

Hi Agong ,

Mouse does not work properly , but it's hard to highlight it in the video .

To get the double click you must first click once with the left button , then once the right button and only after these actions the double click function.

The same thing happens with the right button .

Does not behave normally.

I can not give you a practical demonstration .

Thank You

Hi Agong ,

and if we ship to you Android device ? in this way would have the ability to perform the tests .

Do you think that this can be feasible?

Hi utility, please send necessary information to viewmobilehelp@vmware.com.

You can do this by clicking "Send the log" in settings page of Android view client.

And please give a note in the email that you want to ship the device to us.

Thanks for your support.

Hello Gofa ,

Technical Support is unable to reproduce the situation so we have not resolved.

We are in contact with Agong who is part of the team vmware , as you can read above . I warn them that you too have the same problem.

In the meantime, can you open a call to technical support vmware? It might be useful.

Let's keep updated .

Thank You
