Monitor Configuration Issue (3 displays)

Hi All,

Was hoping someone could give me a hand. I'm working with a couple users with unique monitor requirements. They want to be able to have a single thin client with 3 monitors attached. Then, they want to be able to launch two separate VMs, each using only 2 of the 3 monitors.Basically they want to be able to have one VM running on the left and center monitor and the second VM running on the right and center monitor.

I have my VMs set to use 2 displays but, when they launch they will only go to 1 monitor. If I up the VMs to allow for 3 displays the VM will span all 3 monitors. That would be fine but, when I try to disable the 3rd monitor within the VM it doesn't hold the setting. Once I say 'keep settings' the 3rd monitor loads back in.

We're running PCoIP, Horizon View 6.

Any help would be great.

I'm sorry to say that it's not really an option today - the settings on the client are window / full screen (single monitor) or multimonitor (all monitors). Display settings are always supplied by the client, it's not really possible to set them inside the desktop and have them stick - eventually the client will resend the topology and things will adjust again. You can raise a feature request for the client to pick particular monitors to run sessions within - this would be entirely driven by client-side code if implemented.

Thanks for the info. I'm sorry to hear it too but, it makes sense. I may submit it as a feature request. It definitely creates issues when you have a View VM set to allow 2 displays on the backend but, connect with the client from a system running 3 or more. It'd be nice if you could change the display topology with policy or a command line switch.

Thanks again.
