Modify Message on Authentication Failure

Hi,

I'm on Vmware View 4.6. I would like to know if is it possible to change the error message sent to the user after 3 authenticzation failed.

If authentication fails on three consecutive attempts, an error is returned, and the authentication process must

be restarted from the beginning. The Default message is "Maximum login attempts exceeded".

1) is it possible to change the number of authentication failed ? (I would like more than 3 attempts)

2) Can I edit the message sent to the users?

I' can see in documentation that this message is in xml files but I dont know where.

Thx

Sorry, 3 is a hardcoded value with the current versions of View Connection Server. The text you're referring to is the localized text for the "logout.user.fatal" message. If you wanted to try and change this text then you'd have to find and edit the default.properties file within the broker's webapp (it will be hidden inside vdm-broker.jar). Note that changing the text for messages is NOT supported and on upgrade you will lose your changes.
