I've read through a whole lot of the discussion boards here with the same error. Clearly VMware haven't got a solution.
I've a user with the same error, we've tried everything to connect, there was a point in which changing the firewall allowed connection but the min she changed to another network we were back to square one. As much as I know ethernet will likely bypass it there is no guarantee, there are just as many responses saying it worked as there are saying it didn't and she doesn't have the accessory.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? She isn't able to reach the server for validation and all of her permissions are correct. I've disabled her firewall entirely and no luck.
