MAC-Adress conflict linked-clones Horizon 7

Hello,

I’m trying to  make some linked-clones VM's from my Master, after I do this all the Vm’s are having the same MAC. How are you doing this?

I can’t scripting so thats a no go. Is there an Option i don‘t see? Why would you make an option to clone when Horizon can’t even change the Mac automaticlly

Bye Tutti

Any chance your parent VM has a static / manual MAC configured for the network adapter in VM settings? That would certainly explain this behavior.

In case it is, change it to Automatic, start up your parent VM to verify that everything works as expected, shut down, create a snap and then either recreate your pool pointing at the new snapshot or do a recompose operation on existing one.

Hope this helps.

Well it seem as somehow the mac was set to static, so yes you are right with automatic all the Vm's got the right MAC. Thanks
