I'm looking for help setting up old PCs with Linux to be used as fat clients. I have no idea where to get started at this point. Is one build of Linux better than another? Has somebody created a live CD that I could use? Right now, we don't have a connection broker but, we may have one in the future. Microsoft has given us their stripped down version of Xp to load on old machines. It works well. It boots the stripped down version of XP then RDP's directly to a hard-coded VM. Once there, you have no access to the underlying PC. It locks you into your virtual machine. There HAS to be a way to do the exact same thing with Linux. I just have very little experience with Linux.
