Long Reconnect times (30-40 seconds) with later versions of Horizon Agent

We are on Horizon 7.13, but we've been stuck running an older version of the Horizon Agent (7.5.1) because we are receiving terrible reconnect times from Thin clients, 30-40 seconds vs. 5-10 seconds with any of the newer agents. We've tried 7.12, 7.13, 7.13.1 agent all with the same issue. For zero clients it's not as bad, but there is still double the reconnect time 5-8 seconds vs 12-15 seconds.

Has anyone else ran into this issue?

Is the image optimized?

Also make sure the the Power Policy is set to "High Performance" and "Turn of display" set to Never.

Yes, the image is optimized and those settings are both set.

It's just strange because it's the exact same gold image, the reconnect time is perfectly fine with the old agent, but any of the newer agents and we get the really long reconnect times. We do have a case open with VMware support for this, just haven't really gotten anywhere yet.

yes/sort of/maybe?  I'm not sure how relevant this is but its in the ballpark. We had an SR open for BLASR/RDSH workflows dealing with slow 40sec session reconnects from HTML clients introduced in 7.13.  Essentially it was dealing with an "unsupported_client" agent string or something of the like.  Our fix was rolled into 7.13.1-18294060.  My notes say the slow reconnect HF and most if not all of our other fixes *should* have made it into 8.3 GA.

Edit:  there was also a bug in Imprivata, if you use it,  that was fixed in ~july that caused some reconnect slowness.
