I am currently deploying a 50+ user VDI pilot and I would like to know how others are handling locally attached USB printers on Wyse Thin Client running ThinOS.
We have Wyse TCX USB Virtualizer which is passing through the USB printer directly to the Virtual Machine however it is prompting our users to install the printer drivers and requires Admin access.
now we can install the printer drivers locally to our base image which works fine, however when we attach a printer when still get prompted for admin credentials, if we hit cancel on the dialog box then it continues and maps the printer through.
Has anyone run into this issue and how where you able to overcome? We know about thinprint/uniprint, but are looking for something that is "FREE". : )
