Hello,
do anybody use linux based thin client and PCoIP protocol? I have huge problems with our partner which can't deliver View client for linux which supports PCoIP protocol. All version works only with RDP protocol.
Our thin client is on compatibility list on VMware site for PCoIP protocol.
Thank you for your experiences!!
Roman
Hi,
please take a look at VMware HCL, which clients are supporting PCoIP.
MCP, VCP
 I wrote it in my post. Our client is on HCL.
Thin client is based on SLETC.
Sorry missed that!

Also take a look at VDI Blaster.

Has anyone tried running the view client using wine?
Hi TShoun,
I have tried to run the View Client in Wine, but it did not work. I have even tried to ThinApp it then run it inside Wine, but still with no success. Though I had a better luck trying to get the PCoIP backage and run it on my Ubuntu TP. Below is a bit more info if you are curious to try out just for fun.
I have managed to extract the client from a published HP executable. I have done this just to prove its possible, & you should not use it in production unless if you get a consent or agreement with HP and other parties involved. Though if you are curious to try it just as I did on my Ubuntu machine, you could look at:
This post show a video of using the PCoIP Client on Ubuntu 11.04 and the background behind it.
This post show how I have acheived PCoIP running Client on Ubuntu. Its just interesting to find out how simple it was to acheive and repeat the process. I have streamed the process so anyone using Ubuntu can repeat it with ease.
Warning: If you want to use this commercially things or anything beside testing you will need to remember:
- This is totally not supported
- You might run in legal trouble.
Please reward points if this help.
