Linked Clones

I am curious as to maximum amount of clones people have placed on a LUN in a production environment before seeing performance drop off? We are just getting ready to use Linked Clones in production and I wanted to make sure I sized my LUNs appropriately. Any info is much appreciated.

Hi,

best practise is a maximum of 64 linked clones per replica and so per LUN/Datastore.

So that is the best practice recommended by VMware but does that also translate to real world experiences as well?
