Linked Clones losing NIC

I am going out of my mind.. I can't figure out why this would be happening.

I'm evaluating VIew 4 for a deployment on our campus.

I've created some linked clones based on a WIndows 7 image. The master image works fine all day long and I haven't had any trouble with it. When I try to deploy linked clones from it, they come up with NO NIC in the OS. vSphere reports it as there and connected, but it doesn't show up in the OS (not even in Device Manager). I've tried a few different things reading some other posts, to no avail. I've tried both E1000 and vmxnet3 and gotten the same results. The linked clone will work about 1 in 20 times if I'm lucky.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could you please collect the view agent support logs from the linked clone?

Not sure what happened, but rebooting each of my ESX hosts resolved the issue. Linked Clones are working.

Looking at the view agent support logs can help us root cause the issue. Please ensure that you collect setupapi.log (from c:\windows\system32 directory) and view*log files from the windows temp directory.
