Licensing question ?

Hi,

I have already a vsphere cluster with vcenter and some running servers. Can I add vmware view on my existing infrastructure and mixing servers and vmware view xp/7 VMs ?

Or I need a new Cluster or ESX server for xp/7 VMs ?

Thank you in advance

Beste Regards

There are 2 different version and 2 diffrent packages:

Versions:Premier and Enterprise.

Packages: Bundles and Addons

With Premier you get all the features, with Enterprise the basics.

If you get the "Bundle" you get vCenter, ESX and View Manager. (These ESX:es will be EULA restricted to only be used for Desktop OS:s and supporting servers.)

If you get the "Addon" you only get View Manager

So in your case, if you want to use the excess capacity in your cluster, want to mix servers and desktops, and want to have all the features you should get the View 4 Premier Addon

Best regards,

Linjo
