Leostream CB

Hi,

I'am looking for a way to suspend or stop VD's without randomly assigning or unassigning VD's? So what I want is when a user logs of or disconnects his VD that the VD goes into suspended state without being unassigned. When he or she reconnects (with the Leostream connect tool) they are returned the same machine (re-activated or started).

Can anybody help me?

Sure. Go to the admin website for the CB then click Users and Tags

Add your machines to pools by creating tags -- for testing you can use machine name

Next, define a policy: click Policies. Create a new or edit an existing policy.

Configure the policy to "Start the randomly assigned machine at sign in" and either "Stop the randomly assigned machine when it is un-assigned" or "Suspend the randomly assigned machine when it is un-assigned"

Assign the policy to the appropriate users on the Users screen... assign a user to a machine on the Machines screen (edit a Machine and select the user).

Have the user login... when the user logs out, the machine should stop/suspend... log back in and it'll resume/start.

how are your users leaving the session, could they not just disconnect rather than logoff?,

I have not played with the Leostream product, so just shooting from the hip Smiley Wink

Ok,

This means that I have to assign a VM too a user the first time and then it should work after that.
