I can connect to the Windows 7 virtual workstation with the Linux VMWare Client and there are no issues whatsoever, all works well.
Here is the issue, when I connect to the Windows 10 workstation with the WINDOWS client, I have no problems whatsoever - everything works well.
When I connect using the Linux VMWare client the first thing I notice is I can't connect the sound and the speaker icon has a red x on it, when I click on it it starts a diagnostic session.
All works pretty well UNLESS I hit the windows key to the left of the shift bar, then the key strokes go nuts unless I click on Connection -> Settings -> Automatically Synchronize the keyboard (etc)
Then all returns to normal and all is find UNTIL I click the Windows key again, then I have to go back and turn OFF Connection -> Settings -> Automatically Synchronize the keyboard (etc)
All is good until.....the windows key is pressed again and so I go back to turn ON.... (see the pattern?)
Note, this does NOT happen is I use the Windows version of VMWare Horizon on a Windows 10 installation which happens to be running in Virtual box on this same Linux machine.
I tried PCOIP, VMWare Blast and also installed FreeRDP and regardless of the protocol used - the problem exists.
The average person might say "Why not just use the Windows version in your virtual box?" Well, to me it is a challenge to get the Linux client to work well and I think the overall experience is smoother (Except for this one glitch)
