Unfortunately, Apple does not allow app vendors to provide apps outside of the Apple/iOS App Store.

This is because non-ssl connections is no longer supported.

The best way to solve this (and increase security) is to enable ssl-tunneling on your View connection-broker.

Linjo is right. It is likely that your View environment is not configured for SSL (HTTPS) and is therefore not considered secure.

The default for all View Connection Servers and Security Servers when installed is to operate in HTTPS mode and that way all information between View Clients and View Servers is encrypted.

You can configure HTTPS again on your View Servers and then all View Clients will be able to connect.

This setting is in View Administrator and is found by navigating to View Configuration > Global Settings and selecting the "Require SSL for client connections and View Administrator" check box.

I'm not aware of a way to revert iPAD Apps from the App Store.

To enable SSL, change the following value to "yes" on all Connection Servers:

View Administrator > View Configuration > Global Settings > Require SSL for client connections and View Administrator

...then restart the VMware View Connection Server service.

If any clients are configured to connect using HTTP, they should automatically switch up to using HTTPS. Note that for PCoIP connections this setting only impacts authentication traffic, so that AD credentials are no longer sent in the clear. The performance impact of enabling SSL is negligible since it only affects the initial client/server handshake and logout sequence; PCoIP session traffic is always encrypted regardless of the connection server's SSL setting.

To improve security, all View clients will eventually be updated to deprecate HTTP support and use only SSL. While it's good to improve security and prevent credentials from being sent in the clear, it is unfortunate that this was first enforced in the iPad client without prior warning to admins that the change was coming, especially since end users are in control of the update and Apple does not provide a way to downgrade apps once they have been updated. We sincerely regret the inconvenience this change has caused.

We've just published two new KB articles on this issue:

It is too late for this time around but if you want to downgrade your IOS Apps in the future, use Dropbox..
