I am currently building a VDI pilot project for my company. I've come across something strange and was wondering is anyone else has experienced this and have a fix. I'm running the latest VMware servers. I have a Windows 10 v1607 golden image created and shapshots are created. On the master you click on Windows Accessories and Internet Explorer is listed. Now I create a Desktop Pool on my connection server and then log into a virtual desktop when you look in Windows Accessories Internet Explorer is gone. The program is still on the system and you can create a desktop Icon pointing to IE and it works. Just wondering where IE's icon went? At first I thought it was the optimization tool taking it out but I have two pools running one with the tool and old without and IE is missing.
