One Windows 10 client that I’ve been testing from shows an invalid certificate for vditest.mycompany.com.
All other Windows 10 clients that I test from do not have this issue. I tried uninstalling a few times, searching the registry, manually deleting the ProgramData\VDM folder, checking the Certificates MMC snap-in, etc. Nothing has fixed the issue. Is there a way to manually remove all stray data after a Horizon client uninstall?
Make sure first option is selected on that client machine "Never connect to untrusted servers"
Can you please elaborate?
Where do you see the invalid certificate? In a browser (which one)?
Is it the certificate that's invalid, or is it missing the certificate chain, i.e. the root, and intermediate certificates?
Maybe a screenshot will help.
André
The client has the certificate chain because it's an Active Directory internal PKI. Other clients don't have this issue.
Just to rule that out, how does the certificate appear in a browser when you browse to this URL?
You may also want to check the Horizon Client's settings in the GUI, to ensure it's not configured to ignore certificate warnings.

When I browse to https://vditest.mycompany.com, the certificate details show the correct certificate on both the client that is showing the cert error as well as another Windows 10 client that shows the certificate correctly as being trusted.
You may also want to check the Horizon Client's settings in the GUI, to ensure it's not configured to ignore certificate warnings.
I don't see this setting on Horizon Client 5.4.2.
Make sure first option is selected on that client machine "Never connect to untrusted servers"
