When trying to add a network location under "This PC" on an instant clone desktop pool, we're able to add a personal drive folders like this "\\sharedrive\first.last" but not able to add a network location like this "https://sharepointsite/function/Document_Library" Error: The folder you entered does not appear to be valid. Please choose another. On a persistent desktop pool, there are no issues with either type.
I've compared running/not running services between the two pools. My research led to WebClient service being the most likely issue. While the service was initially off the instant clone desktop, setting to running, as it is on our persistent desktop, did not make a difference. Also, looked into and change settings for HKCU\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\NetworkLocationWizarda and HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\NetworkLocationWizard without success.
Anyone experienced this, and fixed it, or have a suggestion on what to try next?
