Installation guide for Views 5.x?

I cannot find an easy step by step guide for Views 5. Does anyone know of a good guide? I have registered for the trial but figuring out what software to install and when seem like a nightmare.

Thanks!!! Another question: The documentation says that two nics are recommended, does that include virtual machine.
