Increased CPU's does it lead to increase bandwidth used

We have been fighting slow VDI machines for our sales users working from home. We increased the number of CPU's from 2 to 4 to try to combat this.

Not sure if it is totally correlated or not but we have also been fighting an increase in inbound bandwidth via our internet circuit into HQ.

Is there any correlation that any of you can think about? Does an increase in CPU's for VDI machines(horizon 7) lead to more network bandwidth from an inbound state?

It could inadvertently lead to increase bandwidth if there are now CPU cycles available for a higher FPS.

The main drivers for bandwidth are number of monitors, resolution and how much the screen is changing (frame rate).
