Hozion app crash IOS 15

Anyone else suffering the horizon ios app crash as soon as it connects to target machine after upgrading to ios 15.2.1?

IOS 14 is fine as are windows horizon client machines to the same target machine.

I've tried removing, downloading, wiping the device and isntalling again. Each time the following is recorded in the app logs:

Unsafe cast at FILE bora/apps/rde/rdeSvc/shared/appSvcMsg.c LINE 1227

I gathered logs from the crashes, reset the device, redownloaded and the same lines were present in the logs each time:

Hi bh_001,

All good here, Horizon Client 2111 on my iOS 15.2.1 device.

  • Did it crash on desktop and/or published applications?
  • Which display protocol are you using?
  • Is it reproducible on another iOS device?

Hi, yes repeatable on other devices. Crashed on desktop, using blast protocol with x.264 decoding , on any display resolution

Thanks bh_001,

Does it crash also when connecting internally to the desktop?

Hi thanks for responding, yes it does. Interestingly it only seems to affect ipads not iphones. Issue is repeatable on mutliple devicces of different years however ios 14.x is not affected.

Devices all have the same error in the logs, iphones do not. Windows and linux clients are unaffected. HTML access works via the device web-browser without issue. It seems based around the client.

Hi,

we have the same issue and feedback from my colleagues. We have the problem with Ipad and Ipad Pro.

The app crashes from time to time and the users have to log on completely new.
