How to customise the GUI of View Client login dialogue box?

Hi,

Looking to add a link on the View Client login dialogue box below and be able to customise it beyound what the GPO offers.

Also can I change the text of Help button for example from 'Help' to say 'forgot password' and change it's URL.

Can this be done on Thin Client Devices with or without windows embeded as their OS for example the propriotery OS of Wyse or HP such as ThinOS or Linux...

Ok, View Client is open source, surely this is possible, has anyone done changes to the View Client in windows or on linux for the TC devices such as Wyse or HP. Perhaps they know someone who has or know someone who knows someone who has or came accross any info on how to change the view login screen above to add a link to an internal URL for example.

You can create your own application for login window so you can desing look&feel as you wish. And then this application can start view client with appropriate command line parameters.

This is overkill if you just want to change one link or logo but it gives you and endless posibilities.

Another option might be to use some resource editor, hex editor, decompiler, ... and try to modifie executables directly.

Hi Najtsob and thank you for your help on this.

The problem is the View client is sitting on a Wyse terminal with their ThinOS (linux), this is not on a Windows client.

We have been to Wyse and they said this is something to do with VMware and VMware say the view client is open source.

Saying that this still can be done, do you know of a source on how to do this modification of the view client GUI.
