I have a lab with 30 computers and I'm in the testing phase of converting them over to virtual desktops. I intend to convert the computers into thin clients by installting the View Client and then having windows lauch it as its shell. One of the challenges that I face is how to keep the view client update on the 30 computers. The computers are running Windows XP and are locked down with MS Steady State to prevent students from making changes. I really thought that I had found a solution with the idea of using ThinApp to convert the View Client into a standalone network application. I then found out that USB redirection doesn't work when the View Client was thinapped. I was wondering how those of you that maintain labs of computers converted to thin clients keep your view clients updated. Thanks for the help.
