Does the View client connect directly to both the connection broker and to the desktops Is this still the case in View 5? Can someone explain the process? Points will be awarded for all replies, thanks!
The client initiates the connection on http with ssl (port 443) to do the inital connection and authentication.
Then the user chooses a desktop pool, depended on how its setup the traffic can either tunnel through the connection broker (or security server) to the desktop.
Depended if the display protocol is RDP or PCoIP it will be on port 3389 or 4172 but they can both be tunneled though the connection server or directly to the desktop.
