How do large companies handle MSFT pushing out patches and how often?

Are most large companies really pushing out patches every patch Tuesday?

If so, are they packaging them through SCCM or updating the base image and doing a recompose?

We are not large by any means but we patch once a month unless a patch that has been released is deemed critical by our security staff.   We use SCCM to update physical desktops and full VDI desktops.   The linked clones are updated by patching the parent machine and doing a recompose.
