I've been having two distinct problems on my Win 10 desktop ever since updating from 2203 to 2212. I've tried the below troubleshooting with no luck:
- Uninstalling and downgrading back to previous versions (tried 2203, and 2212 8.8.0 and 8.8.1)
- Upgraded to latest version (2303)
- Downloaded latest Nvidia GPU drivers (531.41)
- Disabled windows firewall
Note I get two distinct problems when using different client versions:
- when using version 2203, it will try to connect, but I get the error "The connection to the remote computer has ended".
- when using version 2212 or 2303, it won't do anything except completely freeze when I try to connect to the VDI.
For some reason I suspect it is display/GPU related, but not sure. Note that it did used to work on version 2203, but I started getting both errors after downloading a newer version and upgrading.
My specs:
Intel i7-11700KF
Nvidia RTX 3080 12GB
32G DDR4-3200
Windows 10 Home
Hi, @Gyro1987
Are the Horizon Agent versions compatible with the Horizon Client?
To find out, please visit the URL below and then select the version of each product. You can select more than one version.
https://interopmatrix.vmware.com/Interoperability?col=569,&row=108,
Also, if you intentionally create problems,
Note the time of the reproduction and exit the Horizon Client.
After that, please refer to the VMware docs and locate the following text file
==== text file you want====
vmware-horizon-viewclient-YYYYYY-MM-DD-XXXXXX.txt
debug-YYYYY-MM-DD-XXXXXX.txt
======================
I would also like the Horizon Agent logs, though,
If you go that far, it would be faster to submit a support ticket to VMware.
My organization just upgraded VMware servers and I am having the same issue with my local client install. I have nearly identical specs to what you presented here only with newer NVidia drivers. Was there ever a fix to your issue?
Please chaeck your locked.properties file.
Unfortunately not, I'm stuck using my laptop as I cannot get horizon to work on my desktop.
