Horizon browser extension - error URL is not whitelisted

I been following the steps https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Horizon-7/7.12/horizon-remote-desktop-features/GUID-A221FBB6-6A31-... to setup browser redirection.

I've enabled both Enable automatic fallback after a whitelist violation & Enable Navigation URL list for VMware Browser Redirection and linked the policy to the specific server.

Youtube is working fine without problem with chrome, but when I add other website to the list and on the client site it won't do the browser redirection but instead throw an error saying Error: The URL is not whitelisted...this page will be redirected.  But I don't see where I can get it "whitelisted"?  Thanks.

Hello,

I was wondering what king of new url you have added to your whitelist? A navigation url from youtube for account sign in?

Could you please give some details of your original urlwhitelist and new urlwhitelist?

Have you setup "Show a page with error information before automatic fallback" and see the error information before fallback?

A new URL such as bbc.com.  Original the list only contain youtube.com which worked ok.  And yes I've enabled show a page with error info before automatic fallback option.  Thanks.

Hi,

You get the error "The URL is not whitelisted..." because you have set the policy "Show a page with error information before automatic fallback". So this is expected behavior. While one url is not in whitelist, according to the policy, you will receive error message at first then the webpage will fallback to agent side render.

For example, if I just set https://www.youtube.com/* in whitelist,  I can see this page redirected. Then I type bbc.com in the address bar, below error will show:

ERR_URL_NOT_WHITELISTED: The URL https://www.bbc.com/ is not whitelisted

Falling back to agent side rendering in 5 seconds

I guess there are 2 possibilities that you have add bbc.com to whitelist but you still get the error above

1. You setup the whitelist but the policy does not take effect at once. You might logoff the agent then reconnect then the policy can work

2. You may setup the bbc.com in whitelist in a wrong format. According to the document, you may setup whitelist url in format of https:// or http://. So could you please check that is of format "https://www.bbc.com/*"? I tried with format "bbc.com" and I can get your error.

If the 2 points above is not your situation, please let me know more details
