Hi everybody.
I want to upgrade the virtualization and VDI environment.
Our current version:
VMware vSphere 6.7
VMware Horizon 7.3.2
Zero Client 6.5.2
Future version:
VMware vSphere 7.0 U2
VMware Horizon 7.12 or 7.13 or 2006 or 2012
Zero Client 6.5.2 - we have no subscription
HP ThinPro - Linux with VMware Horizon client 4.10.0
My questions.
1. Is it possible to use Zero Client 6.5.2 with some of the listed future versions of Horizon?
I did not find the old version of Zero Client in the matrix
2. Since we do not have a subscription, I have to use Zero Client 6.5.2.
What is the highest version of Horizon I can use for this client?
3. I want to perform a clean installation of Horizon on the new WS2019. Is it possible to drag
all settings from the old running version of Horizon 7.3.2?
Thanks a lot.
Milan
Ciao
The official teradici documentation for 6.5.2 says:
"...Release 6.5 is verified with VMware Horizon 7.10. It is also compatible with one major release of Horizon prior to this.
Other versions of Horizon may also be compatible but will need to be verified in your specific deployment environment...."
https://docs.teradici.com/documentation/zero-client-firmware/release-notes?showRelease=6.5.2
You can add the new server as a replica server and then retire the old one:
Hi Fabio.
Thank you for answer.
I read the release note, but I also wanted to know if anyone has experience with the old version of the client against the latest versions of Horizon.
I know about connection server replication, but it is not possible to do this with a secure server. And I would like to install the highest version of Horizon.

Ciao
For the teradici firmware I have a customer in the same situation, but I advised against staying at an old firmware level because most of them are not in support and then it is not easy to understand what the problems may be (probably everything can work).
But don't you want to switch to UAG (Unified Access Gateway) instead of security servers? (UAG version 3.9.1 is compatible with Horizon 7.3.2)
Hi,
I know about the existence of UAG, but I don't know the details. I plan to install Horizon version 2012 or 2103 with UAG and gradually move to the new Horizon. Perhaps the old and new versions will be able to run side by side.
