Horizon agents newer than connection server

OK, this might be a stupid question, but I can't find any info anywhere.   Is it OK to have a newer version of horizon agent on VMs than the version of the connection server.  eg. connection server 7.4 and agent 7.8?

Officially this is not supported but when the Connection server and Agent versions are similar you may have success getting it to work but that should be a temporary soluton as you plan to upgrade your Horizon components so that they all match.

It's not technically supported and in general you want your connection server at the same or a newer version. We've had a few cases where support has requested we upgrade the horizon agent to resolve an issue before we could upgrade the connection servers. In some cases it works but why not just upgrade the connection servers?
