Horizon View licensing

Hi there,

I am putting together a small VDI environment consisting of the following:

- 7 x Windows 7 VDI desktops (connecting with Wyse thin clients)

- Horizon View Standard (10 pk CCU)

I am aware that View Standard bundles vSphere Desktop and vCenter Desktop which will cover my Connection Server and Composer.   However my question refers to replication.  I would like to have a secondary site which will allow replication from the primary site.  This will act as a DR site if the primary goes down.  I am a little unsure on the licensing aspect of this.  I understand that vSphere Desktop allows for Enterprise Plus vSphere features, which includes replication.

In terms of licencing, and in order to provide a failover site including vCenter, I believe that all I need is the View Standard 10pk license.  This will cover all VDI desktops, VDI specific server VMs, and two instances of vCenter (VCSA).  Having looked on the pricing portal, it looks to be a cheap solution for what I am looking for - too cheap perhaps!

If anyone can help clarify the above it would be appreciated.

Hello,

Im not sure but I think for secondary site is cover from Enterprise license of vSphere, meanwhile about Horizon you can take only Standard if you not need deploy App, then  you need also Win7 license as Microsoft VDA license.

Bye
