Hi,
I know there are a lot of discussions about the mismatch between bit-levels for VMware Horizon View deployments in combination with Lync 2013
As far as i know the bit-level of the Lync client must match the OS bitness.
So for example:
On the VM: Windows 7 SP1 64 bit needs Office 2013 64 bit (including lync client)
but for my situation i want to use the Office 2013 32 bit.
Searching further on the internet and i found this:
If i understand right, it looks like you don't have to use the 64 bit office (lync client) anymore when you're VM OS is 64 bit.
Do i understand?
I like to work to this "supported" situation:
VM:
Windows 7 SP1 64 bit
Office 2013 (including lync client) 32 bit
Horizon View agent 5.3 64 bit
Client:
10zig Thinclient Windows 8 embedded 32 bit
Lync VDI plugin 32 bit
Horizon view client (latest, 32 bit)
Looks like this is supported from 5.3 on?
You are correct. With View 5.3, the Lync 2013 client bit-level does not have to match the bit-level of the VM OS.

Great,
Right on time
That will solve an possible upcoming problem for us!
We will use the Office 2013 32 bit in combination with 64 bit win 7 sp1
Thanks for the confirmation!
