Horizon Report

Hello,

I set up Horizon 2111 for a client with 210 users.

I'm looking for a tool or an alternative solution that can generate a report for all users' VDI session login and disconnect times. Could you please tell me how I might acquire a report?

Free, nothing really thats easy, if you want a monitoring solution from a vendor controlup and liquidware labs stratosphere are two that I like.

Sjesse,

Thank you for reply.

I deployed vrops 8.5 and added the vRealize Operations Management Pack for Horizon 2.2 from the VMware marketplace, however, there were no templates for Horizon under reports.

I am just looking for VDI VMs session login time and disconnect time,

I haven't used that, but even the older adapter that came with horizon didn't have login and logout times, just session lengths. You can get them from the event database, but it requires alot of searching. You can try this, it works pretty well, but the steps I have aren't really thought out just what I did when I pulled the information. The first excel sheet it creates should get a list of every session logout and login time. If you try any of that it will take along time to get the information as the PowerShell command has to match up the login and logout entries.

vROPs, it is giving session lengths, For some VMs, it is giving accuracy and for others VMs it gives more than a week

I used a script identical to this one found at https://www.teimouri.net/vmware-horizon-view-connection-session-duration-report/  However when I examined vCenter, some VMs had proper login times while others did not.

Previously, I was using Horizon Tool Box, which worked well till Horizon 7.12. I just upgraded to Horizon v2111, and since then, it won't even start. I tried reinstalling but to no luck

Try ControlUp (https://www.controlup.com) or eG Innovations (https://www.eginnovations.com/supported-technologies/vmware-horizon). Either can give you what you are looking for, but they are not free.
