Horizon HTML Access - Embedded Shortcuts

Hi,

We have just deployed a Horizon 7 Standard Platform within our development environments, we are currently looking at ways to integrate shortcuts into the HTML Page - i.e we have numerous ThinApp packages that sit outside of a VDI session that we would like to present the shortcut to from the Web Page, has anyone looked at doing anything similar?

For the enduser they would logon to the WebClient and have visibility to a VDI session (pool) and alongside that would be a thinapp'd version of Internet Explorer

Cheers

You need VMware Workspace One that does all that and more Smiley Happy VMware Workspace ONE Enterprise Mobility Management

Add the shortcuts to the Application Hosts and make usre the shortcut sits in the c:\program data\microsoft\windows\start menu on the App Host.

It will then show up as an "application" and you can inside View Admin assign it to people.

Application hosting (so RDSH to deliver applications) would need Advanced or Enterprise.  If you want to publish ThinApps alone to endpoints, you're looking at either Workspace ONE (Identity Manager - as has already been suggested, but again not part of Horizon Standard) or some other software distribution solution.
