Horizon Client on ChromeOS - USB redirect

I have seen this asked a few times now, but I have to throw my question in of course.

Is it true that Chromebooks have USB redirect disabled??

I have some USB receipt printers that I want to connect and will not even be detected.

So it is true, that it is disabled, is there any way to enable it? Or what is an alternative that people are using instead??

I am running Chrome OS 63.0.3239 with Horizon Client for Chrome OS version 4.7.0-7386947.

Any help/ideas would be great.

Look at this kb

and see if your chromebook can use the andriod horizon client, I think its enabled there. Your chromebook needs to be in this list
