Horizon Agent 8.1.0 Remote Desktop Protocol?

I'm installing the above agent on our shiny new Horizon 8 first gold image.  After the selection feature dialogs, I'm presented with a dialog box for Remote Desktop Protocol Configuration, which states Horizon Agent requires Remote Desktop Support to be turned on, yet offers a radio button to decline the enable.  If required, why allo us to disable, and what does this support actually provide?

It allows you to choose between: 

- Let me do the work for you

- Do the work yourself

Less cryptic please?  Is it so a service desk tech can RDP into an Instant Clone as one would a physical workstation?

its mainly to apply firewall rules and other settings, its not required.
