Horizon 7 Instant Clones causing corrupt master vm snapshot and pool.

Before we get to the problem, our environment:

vSphere 6, vCloud Suite Advanced.
vCenter is an appliance: v6.0.0 Build 4541948
ESXi 6.0.0.4600944
Horizon 7 Enterprise v7.0.3 build 4709455

Storage HP 3PAR 7200, mixed SSD and spinning disks.

We have a working horizon environment with linked clones and full vm:s etc. No problems.

However, when we try to use instant clones we run into serious trouble.
Creating the pool with instant clones seems to work fine (mostly). But when we start accessing the clones via the view client the pool corrupts itself and also the master vm snapshot and the vm.
The problem seems to start when the horizon pool starts deleting the virtual machines after the user logs off.
This seems to happen because of locked .vmdk files? But why? We have no clue since everything else is working fine.
We have tested with both SSD and spinning disks (3PAR) but with the same results.
In the attachments we have some pics showing the errors.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi there,

I'm the PM for Horizon instant clones.  Can I ask you to open a case with GSS so we can get to the bottom of this?  Once you do, please give me the case # and I'll keep an eye on it.  Thanks!

You can contact me at age@vmware.com if you have any questions.  Thanks!

Happy new year!  Thank you for opening the case.  I've contacted the support engineer on the case and will try to expedite this to get this in front of my developers.

Hi! 🙂

I've sent logs and responded a while ago.
Waiting to see if they need more info, or if they want me to try something.
